Instructions
1-Make Dressing: Whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, red pepper flakes, and Italian dressing. Set aside for that tangy kick.
2-Cook Tortellini: Prepare tortellini as per package directions, drain, and place in a large bowl to keep it ready for mixing.
3-Cook Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Season sliced chicken with salt and pepper, then cook 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
4-Sauce Chicken: Add 1/4 cup of the dressing to the pan with chicken. Bring to a simmer for 1 minute to coat the chicken, then transfer the chicken and sauce to the tortellini bowl and toss gently.
5-Cook Vegetables: Add chopped asparagus to the pan and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add shredded carrots and cook until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
6-Combine: Add the cooked vegetables and grape tomatoes to the tortellini and chicken mixture. Pour the remaining dressing into the pan and simmer until it thickens slightly, then toss everything together gently.
7-Serve: Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve immediately or chill before serving to let the flavors meld.
