Instructions

1-Preheat and Prep: Set oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Grease a 9×13 inch pan with non-stick spray. This prevents sticking and ensures clean slices.

2-Cream Wet Base: In a large bowl, beat sugar and softened butter until fluffy. Add sour cream or Greek yogurt, eggs, mashed bananas (3-4 ripe ones), and 2 tsp vanilla. Mix smooth.

3-Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, and 3/4 tsp salt just until combined. Fold in optional nuts gently.

4-Bake: Pour batter into pan, spread even. Bake 23-28 minutes. Toothpick in center should have few crumbs.

5-Make Glaze: While baking, heat 4 tbsp butter medium until light brown and nutty (watch closely). Off heat, whisk in 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tbsp milk. Add milk or sugar to adjust.
