– 1 regular-size yellow cake mix
– 1 large egg, room temperature
– 1/2 cup (120 ml) 2% milk
– 1/3 cup (80 ml) canola oil
– 1 cup (approximately 175 g) white baking chips
– 1/3 cup (about 50 g) colorful sprinkles (jimmies)
Instructions
1-Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 15x10x1-inch (38x25x2.5 cm) baking pan well, or line with greased parchment paper for easy release.
2-In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, egg, milk, and oil. Stir until thick and smooth. The batter stays dense, so mix thoroughly.
3-Stir in the white baking chips and sprinkles. Fold gently to distribute evenly without crushing colors.
4-Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Use a greased offset spatula if it sticks to spoons.
5-Bake for 18 to 20 minutes. Test with a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean.
6-Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Then cut into bars.
