โšก Whip up a crowd-pleasing meal in just 30 minutes that combines classic cheeseburger flavors in bite-sized form

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 24 sliders

Ingredients

– 2 pounds lean ground beef (90/10 or 93/7 fat content)

– 1/2 tablespoon olive oil

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 large onion, finely diced

– 1/4 cup mayonnaise

– 8 slices medium cheddar cheese

– 6 ounces medium cheddar, shredded (or extra sliced cheese)

– 24 dinner rolls (or two 12-packs)

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted for greasing baking sheet

– 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

1-Preheat and Prep: Set oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Butter a rimmed baking sheet generously.

2-Cook the Beef: Heat 1/2 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add 1/2 large onion, finely diced, and 2 pounds lean ground beef. Break apart with a spatula. Season with 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Cook until beef is fully done.

3-Drain and Mix: Tilt skillet, spoon off excess fat to avoid soggy sliders. Stir in 1/4 cup mayonnaise for creaminess.

4-Assemble Bottom Layer: Slice 24 dinner rolls in half. Place bottoms on greased sheet. Layer 8 slices medium cheddar cheese evenly.

5-Add Filling: Spread beef mixture over cheese. Top with 6 ounces shredded medium cheddar (or extra slices).

6-Top and Finish: Add roll tops, cut side down. Brush with 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sesame seeds right away.

7-Bake: Uncovered for 12-15 minutes until cheese melts and tops golden brown.
