– 5 eggs

– 1 cup warm whole milk

– 2 teaspoons cinnamon

– 2 cups blueberries or mixed berries

Instructions

1-First, butter a 13ร—9 baking dish and cut 5-6 croissants into 1 to 1.5-inch pieces, then place them evenly in the dish.

2-Next, whisk together the custard mixture: 5 eggs, 1 cup warm whole milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream, 4 tablespoons melted butter, 1/3 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until smooth.

3-Pour this custard over the croissants and press down gently to help them soak it up fully.

4-After that, sprinkle 2 cups of blueberries or mixed berries over the top and press them gently between the pieces for that jammy texture.

5-Let the casserole rest for 15 minutes or refrigerate it overnight to enhance the flavors.

6-Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF and bake the casserole for 45 minutes until the top is toasted and the custard sets.

7-Once done, serve it warm, garnished with fresh berries and a drizzle of maple syrup if you like.
