Instructions

1-Gather and prepare all ingredients, shredding cheese and slicing toppings to set up your workspace efficiently.

2-Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly butter or oil one side of each bread slice for that golden crust.

3-Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, onto the skillet and spread a thin layer of tomato sauce evenly over it.

4-Sprinkle shredded mozzarella generously and add pepperoni or other toppings for extra flavor.

5-Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up, and press gently to hold everything together.

6-Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden and the cheese starts to melt, then flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.

7-Adjust the heat as needed to melt the cheese fully without burning the bread, and for the optional crispy crust, remove the sandwich, add three pepperoni slices topped with mozzarella in the pan, place the sandwich on top, and cook for about 1 minute.
