Ingredients

– 1 pound Lean turkey sausage [Protein base]

Instructions

1-Brown the sausage: Heat skillet over medium-high. Cook 1 pound lean turkey sausage, crumbling it. Drain grease well.

2-Prep slow cooker: Grease your 7-quart slow cooker lightly.

3-Layer tortellini: Place 19 ounces frozen cheese tortellini at the bottom.

4-Add sausage: Spread cooked sausage evenly over tortellini.

5-Layer veggies and liquids: Add 3 cups baby spinach, 2 drained cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes, 3 Β½ cups chicken broth, Β½ tsp salt, ΒΌ tsp pepper, 1 tsp Italian seasoning.

6-Top with cream cheese: Distribute 8 ounces cubed cream cheese on top.

7-Cook: Cover and cook on low up to 5 hours or high 3-4 hours. Stir a few times after first two hours to prevent sticking.

8-Finish: Sprinkle 1 cup shredded Mozzarella on top. Leave lid off, stand 15-20 minutes until melted.

9-Serve: Dish up hot. Pairs great with bread.
