  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

– 6 fresh blackberries

– 1 small sprig of fresh rosemary

– 45 ml vodka

– 15 ml orange liqueur

– 60 ml pomegranate juice

– 15 ml lemon juice

– 15 ml maple syrup

– 60 ml sparkling water

– 1 cinnamon stick for smoking and garnish

– 6 fresh blackberries

– 1 small sprig of fresh rosemary

– 120 ml pomegranate juice

– Zest of half an orange

– 30 ml orange juice

– 15 ml lemon juice

– 15 ml maple syrup

– 60 ml sparkling water

– 1 cinnamon stick for smoking and garnish

– Optional: splash of apple cider vinegar to add zing

Instructions

1-Begin by using a kitchen torch to smoke a cinnamon stick and a rosemary sprig on a heat-proof tray. Immediately invert a cocktail glass over the smoking ingredients to trap the smoke inside for 2-5 minutes. Fill the glass with ice once smoked.

2-In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh blackberries with rosemary. For the cocktail, add vodka, orange liqueur, pomegranate juice, lemon juice, and maple syrup. For the mocktail, omit the alcoholic ingredients and instead add extra pomegranate juice, orange zest, 30 ml orange juice, and optionally apple cider vinegar.

3-Pour the mixed drink over the prepared ice-filled smoky glass. Top with sparkling water for a fizzy finish, or substitute with ginger beer for added flavor. To boost the smoky aroma, torch a cinnamon stick and rosemary sprig before serving.
