❄️ Snowball Cookies are decadent, buttery treats that deliver a delightful burst of nutty flavor and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
☃️ These classic winter cookies are perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy snacking, with an irresistible powdered sugar coating.

  • Total Time: 45 to 51 minutes
  • Yield: About 14 servings

Ingredients

– 2 sticks (16 tablespoons) unsalted butter

– 1 cup walnuts (finely chopped and toasted; pecans or other nuts like pistachios or almonds can be substituted)

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (divided, with 1/2 cup mixed into the dough and the rest used for coating)

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2-In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.

3-Gradually add flour and mix until just combined, then fold in the chopped nuts.

4-Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them evenly spaced on the baking sheet.

5-Bake for 8 minutes, then rotate the sheets and bake for another 7 to 8 minutes until the tops are set and edges are golden brown.

6-Let the cookies cool on the sheets for 10 minutes, then roll them gently in the powdered sugar while warm, and roll again once fully cooled.
