– 1 to 2 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
– 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
– 1/4 cup butter
Instructions
1-Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a 9-inch square pan with foil, leaving overhang for easy removal.
2-Combine pistachios and green gel food color; knead together then press evenly into the pan.
3-Bake 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown, then cool completely for about 1 hour.
4-Mix pudding mix with melted butter until smooth. Stir in cherries, powdered sugar, and cherry juice gradually until a creamy filling forms. Spread over cooled base.
5-Microwave chocolate chips and butter in intervals of 15 seconds for 45 to 60 seconds total, stirring until smooth. Spread over filling.
6-Refrigerate for about 1 hour until set. Use foil to lift bars out and cut into 16 pieces (4 rows by 4 rows). Store in refrigerator.
